Why can't the Parties give us candidates that more voters like. Many voted against Trump. Then we got Biden. It's difficult to believe that Biden is running the White House. Both of these men are too old and both disliked by half of our citizens. We need to take a closer look at the Parties. Surely both Parties have better men than what we are being offered.

Martha, "sounds good on paper", seems like youre making sense - but youre playing the victim card. Gad. Stop trying to impress Dr. Malone.

YOU run for president...then when you realize how tough it is just to get to first base...youll appreciate, respect and love DJT. He's tough as nails - and accomplished more in his presidency than the past 4 presidents combined. "Promises made, promises kept." DJT is more of a conservative-policy president than even RR! (Challenge: "Prove me wrong...." Cant.)

For all his media-contrived faults (which y seem to buy into. Sad.) he is 'perhaps-not-so-arguably' the greatest president of America - and certainly in the past 150 years.

If you and other uncompromising idealists would allow yourselves to momentarily depart from your delusions of perfection, you would realize that DJT is EXACTLY what our country needs right now to end the current ongoing takeover of us/US/U.S. by the GlobalEvilEffetes/DeepState/CCP. On top of that, you might even allow yourself to consider that, behind the fake news machinations, DJT is reported to actually be a very nice guy, polite and gracious. ("Horrible indeed!" huh...!)

PS. "Surely both Parties have better...'men'... than what we are being offered." Martha, youre not a misogynist are you? But, hey, other than that, i enjoyed your commentary - it brought out the strategic visionary in me. Thank you.

Not to mention, half the country did NOT vote for Biden.

I'm a conservative and an independent and have watched politics since the 50's. I don't fall in love with politicians, even a supposed populist like Trump.

Reality knocks. Both Trump and Biden are rejected by too many citizens, no matter which side of the political spectrum they inhabit.

Consider me silly, but there have been candidates for president, and presidents, who weren't consistently "at war" with their opponents. It gets boring and simple-minded.

There *is* a current candidate with these attributes. And he’s not named Trump or Biden.

This is a nostalgic piece about the former ideals of integrity and care that we hoped would motivate good leaders of the past. Of course, there were always the bad leaders out there also, bloviating for their inflated ideologies and promises. Karl Marx was born in 1818. So, what determined who got to lead? In democracies, it was the democratic process. Thus, you can point your finger at the voters if you so desire. Why don't they demand better?

Truth is, something has been eating at us for a long time. More people are sick. More people are depressed. Less people were poor, according to the World Bank, until the pandemic happened.

We needed to learn something about life to cope with industrialization, then computerization, the space race, the growth of corporate power and now the questions we have about scientific materialism. And we didn't, so we're all going down the tubes. I can only urge the more intelligent among us to stretch your minds and your tolerance levels a bit and figure it out before it's too late.

Poor is relative. Working class doesn’t afford much opportunity to be “a well-informed and educated electorate”

I am an Aussie, & I had never seen these headings & descriptions before now. They are so true, & I would hope a similar kind of outline is set down for our Politicians here as well. Our PM is absolutely hopeless, but it shows us the mentality of many Aussies, made worse by the "swinging voters" who flit from one to the other at election times! At least we have to show proof when voting, & if we don't vote we will be fined, unless a special exemption has been gained in advance.

That “we” is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Like Atlas levels worth.

One candidate has restored our economic and diplomatic power among our allies and the other…farts and falls asleep in criminal court.

That he COULD be a presidential nominee ought to destroy whatever organization he stands for because they’ve already proven their warped view of our nation.

So I hope they cry daily for life after the tangerine felon is defeated in November.

Biden is only legitimate compared to Trump. It’s all relative. Elizabeth Warren and Katie Porter would actually point the country in the direction of restoring a republic and mounting a genuine policy to climate change.

Well, not sure what you’re saying; but

There’s "he … can" golf and then there’s "can he" golf.

First, let’s admit that walking’s out (even around a putt-putt course, i think toting a single club and ball would be a tad taxing); as for motoring around the course, i see multiple points of failure: 1) getting in&out of a cart would be at best comical, 2) putting would be a challenge as orienting golfer/golf club head/ball to the flag would be even more hilarious for a man who loses direction on a stage, 3) god forbid there’s a divot out of place on the course as this fella stumbles over blades of grass, 4) sand traps (‘nuff said), and 5) who’s driving the cart? - see #2.

Frankly, since 💩 💩 head believes he’s too good to debate President Trump, I’m fine with a simple head2head golfing match between these two. Simple rules - no help from the gallery, no caddies, drive their own cart. Must be broadcast LIVE for all to watch. Frankly, don’t care about lost balls, how far off par either are (tho that could be telling) - i just don’t think 💩 💩 head can get to the 3rd hole, much less complete 9, 18 holes on his own.

The only precaution I’d suggest is that there’s someone near at hand with a tranq gun as 💩 💩 head has repeatedly threatened to physically harm President Trump and it’s not unheard of for people in the grip of dementia to "lose it" and attack people - we’ve all see his anger on public display

Tbc, I can't say that what's in this piece is wrong, but that's mainly because it stays deliberately vague about what it's referring to like everything you get from major media. And on consequence, lots of MAGAs falsely claim in their p posts here that Trump fits the description of a president and Biden does not.

And most of all, Americans haven't lost their faith in the presidency but rather feel that democrats may not bring what's needed to fight the new breed of fascists that's calling itself 'National Christians' and that after billionaires have bought the 'GOP' and major media they now will take over the whole country.

But the Biden Junta does NOT recognize UNALIENABLE RIGHTS - the socialist elite he belongs to never does. Their concern is the health of the Deep Administrative State and the career bureaucrats who populate the same. As a matter of fact the illegitimate demented woke son of a bitch is trying to enact a statute which would prevent the new President from terminating the DIE appointments the crazy cretin has made.

Americans need to be alerted to the implications of Presidency in the 21st century: being "Commander in Chief" of the most massive, world-occupying military force in human history, armed with earth-scorching weapons. This complex of forces, arsenals, agencies requires 24-hour attention & affects every person in the world, as we are seeing in warzones currently. Having an abusive megalomaniac criminal bully in charge of this machinery may be the end of life as we know it. So: VOTE blue if you want to live! https://vote.org

No, we have not yet lost faith and too many need to stop engaging in “both sides-ism” and in thinking that Trump and his ilk around him should be indulged and encouraged in any way regardless that he helped bring about Covid vaccines.

And anyone viewing Trump /GOP positively in any fashion —even where he had a few positive wins on behalf of the greater good for our country and people — takes time away from trying to save America. He can never not be a danger and we must work and fight hard to save our republic and democracy from the tyranny Trump is bringing.

Don’t ignore the evil that overall he et al are and represent. And please All thinking that the election was stolen or that Biden isn’t up to the job, but that evil and “on his way to dementia Don” is “the one” is “the better one all things considered, is a fool’s errand.

Don’t ignore the lengths to which Trump/his people will go to have even more power, what they will further do to retain it and to use it for even more evil: ignoring and thinking we don’t still have a chance to remain aspiring to greater greatness along the “arc of justice” through a President such as Biden is also a fool’s errand of false equivalency. It is not too late to be on the side of all that is good and decent and sane.

The lying, race baiting, science illiterate, fake news MSM talking heads of the evening news, am talk shows and morning papers were so humiliated by Trump’s democratic 2016 win that they poisoned the 2020 electorate with fake news fear mongering deposing Trump an anti-democratic media coup d’etat.

Democracy is majority rule by mobs manipulated by the lying, race baiting, science illiterate, fake news pretentious MSM talking heads of the evening news, am talk shows and morning papers.

Which is why the US is a constitutional republic not a democracy.

Fifth grade civics.

Oh, right, no longer taught.
